Meditation has been practiced by
many cultures and religions for centuries.
Meditation means "continued or extended thought;
reflection; contemplation". This is essentially
awareness and whre awareness goes, intention
follows. Whatever you do with your intention in
meditation creates awareness - concentrating on your
breathing, working in your garden, washing
your dishes, listening to the birds or taking a walk
all can be meditation. It can be in a quiet state, a
state of reflection or a time when you are in the
middle of chaos and are able to go inward to listen
to your inner voice. It may be to develop wisdom,
learn to observe your own mind, decrease negative
mind states or develop positive affirmations
Meditation is not about being silent
as much as it is about being mindful. It is
important to let your mind take over and not your
mental chatter from your brain. The mind is of a
higher nature whereas the brain is of the 3D more
physical world. The important point is to be able to
be mindful in any situation. This is one road to
peace in your life.
